Welcome to the St. Joseph’s Villa website! I am happy you are visiting the site, and I hope that your visit helps you learn a little more about what we do and about the wonderful people who help our clients each day.The Villa is a special place for people with special needs. With more than 300 employees and an annual budget of more than $13 million, we are one of the largest nonprofits in Virginia. Our history dates back to 1834. Our 82-acre campus is larger than many colleges.
But more than these facts, our relationships with the people we serve make St. Joseph’s Villa such an extraordinary place. I cannot tell you how much it means to us to see a child with autism complete a task that only a few weeks ago seemed impossible. Or how rewarding it is to see a “tough” child “get it” and start learning because he knows it is preparing him for a bright future. Or to hear a woman who was homeless only a few years ago talk about her new job, her new house and her new life.
As we look forward to our 175th Anniversary in 2009, all of us at St. Joseph’s Villa are thankful for the people who work here, the clients we serve and the community that makes it all possible.
