Educational Services
Working with local school systems and parents, the Villa provides a variety of educational services to children with special needs. Education programs (and the clients they serve) include: The Dooley School at St. Joseph’s Villa, for middle- and high-school students with learning disabilities and behavioral issues; The Dooley Center for Alternative Education, for students who have been suspended or expelled from their local high school; and The Dooley School at Cherokee Road, an elementary-school program for students with a variety of learning disabilities. In addition, the Villa operates The Sarah Dooley Center for Autism in conjunction with Commonwealth Autism Service, and Brook Road Academy, a nontraditional, college-prep high school. Finally, St. Joseph’s Villa offers In-School Counseling to students in area school systems.
