Over 100 Served by Crisis Stabilization Unit for Children

The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) at St. Joseph’s Villa is the first and only unit of its kind in Central Virginia to serve children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 experiencing a mental health crisis.  Since opening in May 2012 in partnership with the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority, the CSU has served more than 100 children in crisis. Meet Craig Coles, Early Autism Assistant Behavior Analyst

For three years Craig Coles has served as a Treatment Specialist for children with autism at St. Joseph's Villa.   He became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) in 2004 and was recently licensed as such through the Virginia Board of Medicine.  Credentialed nationally and licensed by the state, Craig now works with Dr. Ken Macurik in the Villa's new Early Autism program.
