Collegiate School’s Community Engagement Week turned out to be a very special time for our Sarah Dooley Center for Autism students. From February 8-12, thirteen Collegiate School freshmen volunteers spent five full school days assisting our students from kindergarten all the way up to high school.  Collegiate students split up among Sarah Dooley’s grade levels and chose to stay with one classroom for the entire week in order to really get to know our students.

This is the first time St. Joseph’s Villa has served as a volunteer site for Community Engagement Week, and it has been a great experience for all involved — especially our students, who loved the volunteers!  Many thanks to Collegiate for their partnership and for the care which their students gave to our school.

  1. Thanks Missy and crew for always doing an excellent job. I saw that Noah was interested in the reading group along with his buddies. I’m very excited about having the students from Collegiate visiting. It is a wonderful learning experience for them and it says a lot about their about their character as young individuals. I’m very proud of them. Excellent!!!!
