Set on a scenic 82-acre campus, the buildings of St. Joseph’s Villa are known for artfully handcrafted details unlike any other in Richmond. Our gymnasium and outdoor spaces are available to rent year-round with proceeds benefiting our mission. We hold sports practices and tournaments, educational seminars and trainings, and much more.

Gymnasium

The Craig H. Hedley gymnasium features a unique retro look with modern upgrades. With a full basketball court and regulation height baskets, this space is great for sports and is also used for indoor athletic events and activities. It’s even been a filming location for TV and movies! Contact Roxanne Priest at 804-553-3358 or email to rent the gym for your next group event.

The gymnasium will be unavailable from Friday, August 3-Friday, August 23, 2024 for new floor installation.

Brook Road Field 1 is typically used for all kinds of sports-related activities, including soccer and flag football. It’s larger than a football field with additional space available for other activities.

Brook Road Field 2

Brook Road Field 2 is the perfect location for events that want the attention of the busy Parham Road and Brook Road intersection!

Parham Road Field

With its easy accessibility and entrance off of Parham Road, this field is ideal for various sports leagues in Central VA. You’ll often see practices and full competitions held on this space.

We have two pavilions on campus, located next to our front and inner fields – great for picnics and large gatherings, with plenty of nearby parking.

Outdoor Recreational Space

Outdoor Recreational Area

One of our newest amenities designed to promote children’s health, this fenced-in area on the north end of campus features playground equipment, accessible exercise stations, a shade pavilion, and an outdoor basketball court. It’s the perfect place for children and adults to get out, be active, and socialize!

Walking/Jogging Routes

Aerial

Our campus perimeter road is a private road and measures approximately 1 mile in distance. Within the perimeter road, our brick mall provides a beautiful walking loop surrounded by the exquisite 1930’s architecture of the Villa’s cottages, administration building, chapel and schools. Two laps on the brick mall equal 1 mile.
