Over 100 Served by Crisis Stabilization Unit for Children

The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) at St. Joseph’s Villa is the first and only unit of its kind in Central Virginia to serve children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 experiencing a mental health crisis.  Since opening in May 2012 in partnership with the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority, the CSU has served more than 100 children in crisis. Day Treatment Spring Break a Success!

Children in the Villa's Therapeutic Day Treatment had a wonderful Spring Break, as they got to go on lots of great field trips.  On Thursday, chidren who had earned the privilege through their good behavior and success with the pogram went to an area Putt-Putt as a reward and on Friday, they were able to visit the go-kart track!  Way to go, guys!
